Heavy Duty Lime Slurry Pumps is mainly used for special equipment for the transportation of flying sludge sand and gravel and long-distance output process in industrial production. At present, about 80% of the application range of slurry pumps are used in beneficiation plants in the mining industry. Due to the harsh working conditions of the primary ore selection, the service life of the slurry pump is generally low in this section. Of course, different minerals have different abrasiveness.

In iron and steel enterprises, it is mainly used for the slurry transportation of converter dust water, blast furnace gas washing water, continuous casting turbid circulating water and steel rolling turbid circulating water.

The following checks should be carried out when installing the Heavy Duty Lime Slurry Pumps:

(1) The size, location, and elevation of the foundation should meet the design requirements, the anchor bolts must be properly and correctly fixed in the concrete foundation, and the machine should not be missing, damaged or rusted;

(2) According to the characteristics of the medium conveyed by the slurry pump, the materials of main parts, shaft seals and gaskets should be checked if necessary;

(3) The leveling and alignment work of the slurry pump should comply with the equipment technical regulations. If there is no regulation, it shall comply with the current GB national standard;

(4) The installation of all pipes and pipe fittings connected to the slurry pump and the cleaning requirements of the lubricating oil pipes shall comply with the relevant national standards.

The commonly used slurry pump structure is as follows.

(1) Pump head structure. The pump body adopts a double-layer pump shell (internal and external double-layer metal structure), the shell structure of the double pump shell is a vertical open type, and the outlet position can be installed at 45° intervals and rotated in 8 different positions. (2) Bracket structure. The bracket structure is a horizontal open type. In order to extend the service life of the bearing, the hydraulic design and structural design have been optimized.

(3) Shaft seal form. The shaft sealing device seals the pump body and the pump shaft. It can prevent air from entering the pump and a large amount of water from leaking out of the pump.

The type, size and speed of the agitator have an impact on the distribution of the mixing power between the overall flow and turbulent pulsation. Generally speaking, the power distribution of the turbine agitator is beneficial to turbulent flow pulsation, and the propeller agitator is beneficial to the overall flow. For the same type of agitator, under the same power consumption conditions, the power of a large-diameter, low-speed agitator is mainly consumed by the overall flow, which is conducive to macro mixing. The power of a small-diameter, high-speed agitator is mainly consumed by turbulent flow, which is conducive to micro-mixing. The amplification of the agitator is a complicated problem related to the technological process. So far, it can only be amplified through step-by-step experience, and extrapolated to the industrial scale based on the obtained amplification criterion.
