1. Precautions during startup

(1) Before starting the pump, the pump rotor should be turned to check if it is flexible;

(2) Check if the motor rotation is consistent with the water pump rotation;

(3) Open the suction valve of the water pump, close the gate valve and pressure gauge cock of the pump outlet pipeline, fill the water pump with liquid, or use a vacuum system to remove air from the suction pipe and water pump;

(4) Check the tightness of the bolts connecting the water pump and motor, as well as the safety situation around the pump, to ensure that the water pump is in a ready to start state;

(5) Start the motor and wait for the water pump to operate normally. Open the pressure gauge cock and slowly open the water pump outlet gate valve until the pressure gauge pointer reaches the required pressure (control the given head of the water pump according to the reading on the outlet pressure gauge).

2. Runtime considerations

(1) This series of water pumps relies on a balance mechanism inside the pump to balance axial force. There is a balance liquid flowing out of the balance device. The balance liquid is connected to the suction section through the balance water pipe, or a short pipe is designed outside the balance room. The balance liquid flows outside the pump through the short pipe. To ensure the normal operation of the water pump, the balance water pipe should not be blocked;

(2) In the process of start-up and operation, attention must be paid to observing whether the instrument readings and bearing heating, packing leakage, and the vibration and sound of the heating pump are normal. If any abnormality is found, it should be handled in a timely manner;

(3) The temperature rise change of the bearing reflects the assembly quality of the water pump. The temperature rise of the bearing should not exceed the ambient temperature by 35 ℃, and the maximum temperature of the bearing should not exceed 75 ℃;

(4) The rotor of the water pump has certain axial movement during operation, and the axial movement should be within the allowable range. The clearance value between the end faces of the motor and water pump couplings should be ensured;

(5) During the operation of the water pump, it is necessary to regularly check the wear of the impeller, sealing ring, guide vane sleeve, shaft sleeve, balance plate and other parts. If there is excessive wear, it should be replaced in a timely manner.

3. Precautions during parking

(1) Before parking, the pressure gauge cock should be closed first, and the outlet gate valve should be slowly closed. After the outlet valve is closed, the motor should be stopped. After the water pump stops stably, the suction valve of the pump should be closed;

(2) The water inside the water pump is discharged. If it is not used for a long time, the water pump should be disassembled, cleaned, oiled, packaged, and stored.
